Something that enlightened me which I got from my role model in life. He is someone that I used to have fights and arguments since young. But deep down in my heart, I always hold the highest regard for him and that's what he told me.
Dad, too, taught me in his own inimitable way. I was building two steps for a house, making wooden forms to be filled with concrete. Dad, who was watching, never told me I was building them wrong; and it wasn’t until I had poured the concrete that I saw my mistake: the first step was too big and the top step was too small. Dad handed me a sledgehammer, and all he said, then or later, was, “Break it, and do it the right way next time.” He could have saved a little time and money by telling me beforehand, “Measure twice, cut once.” But the method he chose was unforgettable.

After reading this passage, it makes me think about when I was an intern back then in Singapore. I was in the pastry kitchen and one of my first tasks is to learn to bake a souffle. At that time, being young, I was eager, excitable and most importantly, impatient. What I did was I kept walking back and forth to the oven, opening the door to see whether my souffle has risen anot. Eventually, it did not. The pastry chef witnessed this whole episode of me making the mistake, but he kept silent throughout. So like Max Sharp, he wants me to learn it the hard way. From then on, I have learnt my lesson. Not only he taught me that when you bake a souffle, you can’t just open the oven door, but also he taught me the value of patience which is still deeply engraved in my memories now.
The reason why I am sharing this with you is because when I’m doing my rounds, I observed that some managers are so tied up in the tasks of their day to day operations of their department; tasks that the supervisors or even the line employees can undertake.
Why?
I also happen to be one of them, so how I felt it’s because I’m afraid they will screw it up then it will reflect badly on my department. However if we the managers are not letting them do these tasks, making the mistakes, these staff will never learn and the whole vicious cycle will continue.
As you slowly digest this book, you will find that Mr, Sharp has written of his experiences in his career which will be applicable to what we are facing now.
Yes, I need to be patient in terms of everything for the fruit of success.
That applies to matters of heart as well. I believe the right one will come when it's time.

Anyway, Jasmine is a friend that I made a year ago during our modeling roadshow. We didn't really talk until recently. She's a nice friend! :)
On an early morning, I woke up just to help up with aunt's house moving. Most of the uncles and aunts gathered together and do their own parts. I like this kind of feeling because it makes all of us closer and all. Here's a collage of all of them doing what they are good at :D

Here's a post of what I did last friday when Melvin asked me what did I do. It's a rather long and confusing story though. This is how it goes, I ended school rather late that day. On my return, Caixin(my junior) called me to help him out with something. He knows my cousin, Jovyn pretty much too. So he is involved too! And we are supposed to be helping Caixin's friend out when we don't even know who he is. We got to take a cab down from Serangoon all the way to ECP just to do something with light sticks! I don't know what I was thinking that time too but I just help for the fun of it. Here's something we did for the couple! It's his friend first year anniversary. He wanted something like loving and romantic but he provides us with just 29 lightsticks!

The following day, it's my cousin drama performance. It's a last minute decision to drop by. And boy it really change alot. As in the school facilities and school management. When I placed those light sticks, I was thinking about those things I did in the past. Although it is 3 years already, sometimes the good moments are what I missed. Maybe that's why I'm keeping to myself this past week. Like another person somehow. But like what Maria told me, sometimes it is just myself. Everything will be back :D
I was having one of the funniest and wildest night yesterday.
But, I woke up this morning with puffy eyes when I saw this. Will it be like before? I used to think that I can try my best to keep everyone close. But I was wrong, I ain't superman. I will change for the better.
Everyone knows the greatest love of all is unconditional love. Loving someone but without expecting a return. Just waiting with hope and patience that one day it will come to you. But during that period of time, it may be one of the toughest period of time. I mean some of you may have experience this before. For those who didn't really experience, it may be a good thing or bad thing for you. Good in a way that you are attractive enough to have suitors waiting for you. Bad in a way that somehow you don't have that special someone that make you feel it is worth it. Those who is currently experiencing it, I know how you are feeling right now. I will always pray for those who waited patiently all these while for who they have been longing for.
Don't you feel that why you ain't have someone is beside you whenever you saw couples out there so lovely and compatible? But sometimes behind that relationship, they may have their shit times too! Being attached have it's adv and disadv I should say.
Love can be wonderful. It could turn out to be your pillar of strength whenever you feel like giving up on something. It could be the motivation for you to study hard and give your future partner a comfortable life. In short, it just gives you this extra additional strength that makes you think that "Life is actually worth living for."
At times shit do happen. Having to accept each other faults after being together is another factor. The first few months will always be STRENGTH. After that, it will always be WEAKNESS. Yes! No doubt about that.
It can be flammable if you ain't careful handling it. So tell me. What's the best way?
Maybe it will be nice to share something. People have been asking me this few repeated questions for quite long.
"Bobby, why are you still single after 3 years?" "Standard too high already right Bobby?" "It's time to settle down isn't it?" "You need any help? I can help you introduce." "Go find one gf soon. Both of your brothers have gfs too." "Too much choices?"
I'm actually quite numbed to it already. I shall just answer here. There is always this saying, "The more you want it, the further it seem." Yes, it works this way for me. I do have my liking and crush just like any other guys too. But I always can't be together with the person I like. Suitors? Yes. But it always not being able to click well or it just ain't the right one for me to think it is time to settle down. I want a strong and stable relationship that will last me, it will be better if it last till marriage.
At times I get really tired waiting but I always tell myself that I shouldn't give up. That is not the Bobby's way. Some words that may mean nothing to you can actually be a deep cut to the one who has been waiting. And whenever I can't take it, I will approach my best friend to rant at it. But what had happened, it gets tiring when you know it will never stop ranting. So what's the point? Might as well just keep to yourself isn't it?
Who likes to make themselves sound so down and lousy unless being hurt that badly? I will never be that way but today I just did. I always thought you know me well and is someone you actually take notice of but I was wrong.
To love or to be loved? It all actually depends on how you want your happiness to be like.
